Alaska Destination Wedding
I’m not sure I will ever forget the conversation I had with Natasha and Ryan when they told me they wanted to get married in Alaska. Their original plan was to have their wedding in South Florida but we were hitting dead ends at every turn. No venue was exactly what Natasha had always pictured. After a small break from planning, we sat down one night for coffee and you could see the trepidation in Natasha’s face.
She had something important to say and didn’t know how to say it. “So you know how we have that big family vacation planned for Alaska in June? I think we want to get married when we are there.” She was so nervous as to what my response would be. Instantly, my eyes lit up and I said, “Has passport, will travel!” From there, it was pure magic as we created their Alaska Destination Wedding.
In general, Alaska is one of the most beautiful places you will ever see. From incredible formations to the most serene areas you will ever encounter. We knew that the wedding would be something special, but we just didn’t know how special! The plan was that the ceremony would take place on the back of the train. We were going to take the Yukon and White Pass Rail Train all the way up to the summit and when it stopped to turn around, Natasha and Ryan would say I do. Complete with photographer in tow, we made the journey, on the train, up to the end of the route. What awaited us up there, is something out of a fairytale.
The most beautiful backdrop you have ever seen was right outside the window and Natasha’s dream came to life right in front of our eyes. With her gorgeous flowers that has been flown in from Junea, her and Ryan said I do and became husband and wife.
